"Passion has a funny way of trumping logic".

I like that line. I like the fact that it makes me not care that there is no logic to having a passion for cars, or wheels, or low ride heights, or ridiculous power, or whatever the hell you happen to like.

It doesn't have to be logical, you can't explain it - you can't quantify getting out of bed early to drive hours to a track or your favourite back road. There is no normal reason to sweat blood and tears working on your car to make it "better". Better than what?

That's why I like this video. It reminds me why we do it. For the fun, for the adrenaline, for the camaraderie........ for the passion.

P.S. Bring back the Performance Car track days at Puke.

Left overs

I finally dragged my Audi CQ home. It's been parked outside up north at my parents place for almost 18 months and is looking pretty sad. (This pic was taken while ago)

I should just sell it but I'm somewhat attached to the old girl and I have a bunch of odd bits and pieces I could use with this as a base for something.

Left overs are kinda funny like that - it's like a cheap meal you make when you're broke or can't be bothered going out to buy real ingredients. Sometimes you just throw what you got together and create genious, sometimes not.

We'll see I guess.

Freaky Weds

Not sure of the model but these Weds are just nuts! 16 × 7.0J ET+34 PCD 5x100

This kind of wheel I enjoy the process of thinking about pulling them off on something. I just love shit that's outside the norm and not what people expect to see. It's too easy these days to just find a pic of your car on the internet with the wheels you want and copy someone else.

Stuff like this you have to take a risk and use your imagination and creativity to pull it all together. The challenge is if you can make them win on your car you're so golden it's not funny. But get them wrong and they'll be REALLY wrong.
